Day 1

Auckland/Bay of Islands

Depart early this morning (6:45am) from Auckland via coach for the Bay of Islands. Upon arrival in Paihia, you'll visit the historic Waitangi Treaty Reserve and learn about New Zealands early Maori and European history - take in sights such as the Maori War Canoe and Meeting House. Next you’ll board a Dolphin Seeker, purpose-built catamaran for a cruise through the crystalline waters. Watch out for sightings of whales and dolphins, as well as other marine life and views of the Cape Brett lighthouse before your arrival at the famous Hole in the Rock. Take in the sights at the Grand Cathedral Cave before heading back to the inner islands of the bay.

Day 2

Bay of Islands

Today can be spent at leisure, making the most of this beautiful Bay of the islands. Relax by the pool, take a coach ride to Cape Reinga - the very top of New Zealand, via idyllic Ninety Mile Beach or wander along some of the walking trails. In the evening, head to the waterfront and dine at one of the cafés or restaurants. Alternatively, opt to glide down the Waitangi River on board the Ratanui for a dinner cruise.

Day 3

Auckland

Today you may wish to spend time relaxing in a local café or riding the historic ferry to Russell – the first capital of New Zealand. In the afternoon, return to Auckland over the harbour bridge into the city.

Day 4

Auckland

Your short break ends this morning after breakfast, transfer back to Auckland airport for your onward flight.
